Books & Taylor Songs

I was tagged by The Literary Lion on Instagram to do a #booksandtaylorssong tag. And, of course I will participate. My love for Taylor Swift and books are equally the same so this was a perfect. And, I thought what a fun Sunday blog post: any reason to jam to the below Tay songs (more like me singing out loud to myself as I write) is good reason enough.

🎤 WE ARE NEVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER (series you won’t finish):
Confessions of Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella, I read the first 3 and then lost interest

🎤 LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO (books that make you want to collect merch):
Peter Pan, I don’t wanna grow up

🎤 READY FOR IT (most wanted sequel):
A Family Affair series by Mary Campisi, I am a sucker for these characters and the town of Magdalena. Hello Nate Desantro…

🎤 IF THIS WAS A MOVIE (book you want to turn into a movie):
These Violent Delights by Victoria Namkung, such an important topic to cover and the book would translate very well into a movie

🎤 BEGIN AGAIN (book you want to reread):
A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, beautifully written story and one of my favorites of all time. A MUST read.

🎤 EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED (book you expected to like but you ended up disliking):
Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult. I absolutely love elephants and loved their inclusion in this story, but the twist I could have done without. Sorry Jodi! You are still my favorite author. xo

🎤 OUT OF THE WOODS (book you’d bring on an adventure):
Well I can think of one I would NOT bring and that is Do Not Become Alarmed by Maile Meloy. 4 kids lost during a cruise in a foreign country…not the best read for being on an adventure of your own.

🎤 SHOULD HAVE SAID NO (books you regret buying):
Grey by E.L. James, felt it was just another way for her to cash in on the same story.

🎤 COME BACK… BACK HERE (lost books):
Sounds Like Me: My Life (So Far) in Song by Sara Bareilles, I need to tell my MIL to give me my book back! 😉
