Round IV of Fun Fact Friday is here! This week I am sharing a book tidbit centered around my fun fact. Here goes:
I currently reside in New Jersey, United States.
Did you know that Judy Blume – probably one of the most famous young adult authors – is from New Jersey?! That makes me like NJ a little bit more 😉 (long story. short version: I am from NY originally and never thought I would be living in NJ, like ever).
Around the time she was 30 years old, Judy published her first book, The One in the Middle is the Green Kangaroo; she has since written 32 books. She was named one of the most frequently challenged authors of the 21st century by The American Library Association for covering “risque” topics such as teen sex, birth control, and death.
I remember purchasing a few of her books back in my middle school days when our school held their annual Scholastic book fair. If only I still had them!
For old times sake I will have to add Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. to my 2018 TBR pile.

I was first introduced to Judy through her Fudge books and I have loved her ever since – two years ago I won a signed copy of her adult book In the Unlikely Event and it’s one of my most cherished possessions!

I’ve never fully read any Judy Blume books. When I was younger my mom started reading Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret with me, but we never finished reading it. I wish we finished it because I’ve always heard it’s such a good book.
