March 8 – 14, 2020: MS Awareness Week

Join my #bookstagram fundraiser! Post a stack of orange books – or creatively incorporate orange – in an Instagram post (see example below), using the hashtag: #SNROrangeforMS. I will be donating $1 (up to $250) to Swim for MS for every post that uses the # this week.

Every day, people living with Multiple Sclerosis do whatever it takes to move their lives forward despite the challenges. By sharing their stories, we help people better understand life with MS and become inspired to do whatever it takes to change the world for people living with MS. What is MS?  MS, is a disease of the central nervous system that can cause symptoms throughout the body. It’s believed to be an autoimmune condition, in which the immune system mistakenly attacks normal tissues. But it’s not clear what causes the onset of this immune reaction, and most people diagnosed with MS have no known risk factors.‬

Why is raising awareness for MS important to me?  My husband’s late grandfather, and his uncle and aunt live with MS; this disease hits close to home. Our uncle Paul, who is battling MS, swims 1/2 mile a day to raise awareness and funds through Swim for MS. This bookstagram bookstack challenge will benefit his fundraising page.

‪🧡 Thank you for reading this far!  Let’s light up Instagram orange this week! XO, Nikki‬

Don’t have any orange book spines to participate in #SNROrangeforMS don’t fret! Creativity is accepted as long as you use the hashtag so I can keep track.‬ ‪.‬ ‪🧡 Like spelling O-R-A-N-G-E, taking pictures with oranges, taking pictures with orange objects…whatever you fancy, I’ll count it!‬ ‪.‬ ‪🧡 What is SNROrangeforMS you ask? For every orange stack posted March 8 – 14, using the hashtag, I will donate $1 to my uncle's MS fundraising page (up to $250): http://support.mymsaa.org/site/TR/SwimforMS/General?px=1655885&pg=personal&fr_id=1571‬ ‪.‬ ‪🧡 Multiple sclerosis, or MS, is a disease of the central nervous system that can cause symptoms throughout the body.
