“Relationships are a lot like houses: without a good foundation, they’ll crumble.”

If you can’t tell by now, rom-coms are my jam. They can be silly, over-the-top, happily ever after overload, sugary sweet, delicious, delectable…oh wait, I think I may be talking about dessert now ha!
Writing duo Christina Lauren’s new one The Honey-Don’t List did not disappoint. True to form, it included witty banter, page-turning character chemistry, and a leading man that you will want to be your book boyfriend. They really do know how to write a male lead.
Carey and James are assistant’s for each of the Tripp’s – TV’s favorite home & design couple Melissa and Rusty – think Flip or Flop Tarek and Christina El Moussa (we all know how that relationship turned out). They both need their jobs and cannot afford to quit, so when the job now includes them babysitting the “Can’t Stand Each Other” Tripp’s on their upcoming book tour…well let’s just say there will be a lot of flipping and flopping. Ha!
– Melissa is a real trip
– Rusty is flippant
– Carey needs a backbone: she has the power to have one and won’t let herself believe it
– James is charming AF: he sees Carey for what she is but can she?
Will Carey and James be able to keep Melissa and Rusty in line? What’s really in it for them to stick the job out?
Enjoy this cute little number. It’s a light read that can offer a nice distraction from shelter in place restrictions. Any of their books are pleasant diversions from the goings-on of the world:

This is probably the one book that worked the least for me in the entire CL collection. And it CRUSHED me!!! But I’m already excited for the next one. 😀

I get it! It wasn’t my fav, but was a great read for me at the time. Kind of like any album that comes after Jagged Little Pill…how do you even follow that?! 😉 My favorite of theirs is The Unhoneymooners (its really hard to pick, but I think that one wins out)

This one is on my TBR and I’m really excited to read it! I’m a bit behind on the CL books unfortunately. Heard mixed things about this book, so I’m really curious to see what I’ll think of it myself. Also have Roomies and Dating You/Hating You still unread on the shelves – and then I need to buy some of the other stand alones as well. I just can’t seem to keep up with their fast writing haha.
