Talk to Me Tuesday: 2018 Reading Goals

Goodreads Challenge

It’s a new year with a new goal. I am aiming high and working towards reading 100 books this year (that is 34 more than I read in 2017)! If I can read at a pace of 2 books a week, then I got this. Wish me luck!

What are your 2018 goals? Whether it be book count, adding a new genre, trying a new author – what have you – talk to me: would love to hear from you.

If you read over 100 books in 2017, what are your tips? How did you keep motivated? Keep up pace? etc. Share your secrets with us. 😉

  1. Good luck, I challenged myself to read 100 as well! I’m sure we can both pull it off! ❤
Last year I've managed to read 90+ books and I think the best advice is to read the genres that you love when you're falling behind or something short (like a poetry book or a novella). That way you can keep up with your challenge! ❤

  2. I read 105 books last year. Honestly, I almost never watch TV, so once the kids are in bed, I read until I go to bed. On weekends I try to sneak in a little extra reading time, but it depends on what we’ve got going on.

  3. Great goal! I read 106 books in 2017. My tips are that I read many books at once and in many different formats. From e-books to audiobooks to hardback. If I’m cooking or making a blog post I’m listening to a book. Taking a bath, read. Watching TV during the break I read. Also, if I’m reading something and it’s just not working for me I switch to a different book. Also, reading many different kinds of books from YA to poetry to anything, just so I have a nice mix.

  4. Wow!!!! Awesome goal! My goal is 110 but I might have gone a little crazy. I read 105 last year but I wanted to read some longer books this year and Harry Potter. Guess we’ll see. 🙈
