First off: what is it with me and drinking coffee (with plenty of marshmallows) while reading Beach Read?! 😝

To be honest I needed coffee over a summer cocktail since I stayed up until 1 a.m. one night to finish this gem: I could not get enough of it! The electric banter between Gus and January kept me turning each page as quickly as I could. That is what I call a potato chip read…when you start you can’t eat just one chip you have to finish the bag!

Cynical, sarcastic, realist Gus is suffering writers block…and more. Romantic, optimist, believer of true love happy endings, January has lost her spark. A chance summer makes them neighbors and a bet will reignite their writing grooves: they switch genres to see who can sell their book first. Gus an optimist and January a realist…is it possible? But, what will be the ending they choose?

I’m calling it now: Beach Read is the “2020 Book of the Summer”

What was the last book you read that kept you up well past your bedtime? Do tell!

  1. I am such a scattered mess lately, your review had me so excited I raced to Netgalley and discovered I already have this one on my cloud. Oh, My! I need Hermione’s time turner so I can find the time to read during home renovations
