Audiobook Review: The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams

5 disco balls

Published: November 5, 2019 by Berkley
Length: 9 hours and 9 minutes, narrated by Andrew Eiden & Maxwell Caulfield
Category: Contemporary Romance

Recognize this man?

It’s Empire Records own Rex Manning; IRL he’s Maxwell Caulfield…one of the narrators of this audiobook!

The Bromance Book Club deserves all the fun, laugh out loud stars. A unique take on romance; where a group of men formed a book club and read romance to learn a thing or two about their women. It’s genius!

Gavin’s ego takes a bit hit when he finds out that his wife Thea has been faking it their whole marriage that he leaves. Now the two are heading toward divorce, but Gavin realizes that’s not what he wants but leaving Thea doesn’t help his cause. He gets some unsolicited help from friends in the form of a secret Bromance Book Club.

It’s so much more than a husband taking his wife for granted. There is always two sides and hearing it from Gavin’s was educational. (Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus hehe)

A rom-com that will put a smile on your face, have you anticipating the start of each new chapter, and make you want to hug a puppy. It’s great for getting out of reading slumps too.

Thank you to Mr. SNR who let me use him as a prop – teamwork makes the dream work – wonder if I could get him to read a cowboy romance?! I think I have a better chance at winning the lotto. 😂

Have you read this one?! Are you also an Empire Records fan?!…what an underrated 90s gem.

P.S. I am eagerly awaiting Book #2 in the series: Undercover Bromance out this March!
